Who we are
We are one of Italy’s leading agricultural cooperative companies specialized in the production, processing and trade of fruit, vegetables and wine.
Origins and Commitment to the Territory
Agrintesa was officially born in 2007 from the merger of 3 large Emilia-Romagna cooperatives (Intesa, Emiliafrutta, Agrifrut) but our roots actually go back to the 1950s when many small agricultural producers founded cooperatives. Over the years several of these cooperatives became more structured through incorporations and aggregations.
quality and integrated supply chain
We proudly carry on the tradition of our territories, growing high quality fruit, vegetables and wine grapes. A heritage of experience that is renewed every day thanks to the application of the most modern agronomic techniques, the constant assistance of our technical team to members and continuous investment in innovation. This is how Agrintesa has established itself as a benchmark in the industry, in Italy and abroad.

Our activities are divided into three divisions that, together,
constitute and strengthen our presence in the territory and markets:

In order to better manage and enhance fruit, vegetable and wine production, at Agrintesa we have equipped ourselves with efficient processing and packaging facilities and have established an extensive network of business and consortium partnerships over time.
Conventional fruit and vegetable products are marketed through the company Alegra, which is our business partner and reference point for Italian fruit and vegetables in relation to modern Italian and European distribution (more than 50 percent of our production is exported to 55 countries). We adhere commercially to Valfrutta Fresco for the distribution of premium fruit and vegetable products, the commercialization of organic products is entrusted to Brio SpA.
Since 2015, we are one of the companies promoting the consortium Opera sca, the reference interlocutor for the enhancement and distribution of quality Italian pears in domestic and international markets.
We are part of Jingold Spa and for years we have been an accredited producers of New Zealand’s Zespri (Zespri Green and Zespri Gold brands).
Our reality has always been a reference partner of Conserve Italia, a leading cooperative in the processing and marketing of fruit and vegetable preserves.
We are among the founding members of Caviro, a reference cooperative for the Italian wine sector, to which we contribute a significant part of our bulk wine production.
We participate in Contri Spumanti spa, a company that operates nationally and internationally in the production of sparkling and semi-sparkling wines.
Our logistics system is integrated into the company RLA which manages and optimizes the entire freight traffic in Italy and abroad.
