Alegra Group, at Marca 2025 as protagonists

Mauro Laghi

Doubled space and focus on premium products

The Alegra Group (which brings together the three trading companies Alegra, Valfrutta Fresco and Brio specializing in fruit and vegetables) is returning to Marca, the international trade show dedicated to private label at the Bologna Fairgrounds scheduled for today and tomorrow, January 15 and 16, and they are doing so in grand style: after its successful debut in the 2024 edition, the Alegra Group has firmly confirmed its presence, doubling its exhibition space and preparing to preside over the fair event with its full “Team Italia” that will be available to operators and visitors Hall 29, stand E/68.

“Year after year, Marca confirms itself as a point of reference for operators in the private label world,” comments Mauro Laghi, general manager of Alegra and sales manager of Brio, “a key segment for our Group that generates, through three different companies, up to 40 percent of business volume. Today private label represents an ever-expanding sector, characterized by peculiar needs and oriented to tailor-made solutions. Thanks to the specialization of our companies, we are able to propose projects able to combine consolidated know-how and decades of experience in all market segments. In a context where private label is growing rapidly and looking for reliable and flexible travel companions, the Alegra Group, with its three business units, presents itself as the ideal partner for any project in fruit and vegetables.”

At Marca, the Group will present the full range of references from its producer members. “Over time, the perception that Distribution has of production has changed,” continues Laghi. “Today, the role of quality supply chains is increasingly central, particularly for projects linked to premium lines, and the ability, on the part of a potential partner, to guarantee supplies of quality fruit and vegetables with continuity and constancy because the fruit and vegetable counter does not allow for defections. This is a challenge that finds us not only ready but certain that we can guarantee an important added value: the daily commitment of thousands of agricultural enterprises throughout the country to which we add a level of service that fears no comparison.”

The Alegra Group will also be the protagonist of two moments of confrontation between fruit and vegetable operators and the world of large-scale distribution: today, Wednesday 15, Mauro Laghi will take the stage at the Agora dei Freschi (Hall 29) together with other authoritative players and the main large-scale retail chains for the conference curated by SGMarketing entitled “Il Biologico: assortimento vissuto come driver di acquisto” while tomorrow, Thursday 16, the Group’s marketing manager, Claudia Iannarella, will delve into the topic of synergies between companies and retail chains in the panel discussion “Obiettivo consumatore: Gdo e produzione insieme per valorizzare l’ortofrutta.” (gc)
