With the extraordinary meeting held in Faenza on Friday 24 October, attended by the Councillor for Agriculture, Agri-food, Hunting and Fishing Councillor for the Emilia-Romagna Region, and EU Relations, Alessio Mammi, the merger of Fruit Modena Group into Agrintesa was officially completed. Fruit Modena Group is a historic Emilian cooperative based in Campogalliano (MO), founded in 2007 from the merger between Campofrigo and Eurofrutta, specialising in the production, processing and marketing of pears.
The operation, which will become effective in January 2026, represents one of the most significant cooperative mergers in the Emilia-Romagna fruit and vegetable sector and consolidates Agrintesa’s presence in a strategic area for the pear supply chain, bringing the total fruit and vegetable land registry to 10,500 hectares, in addition to 7,300 hectares of vineyards.
The merger with Fruit Modena Group, generated by a shared vision and collaboration that began in recent months based on shared values and deep cooperative roots, represents the third merger completed by Agrintesa in the last eighteen months, after Osas and Ortolani Cofri: a path consistent with our cooperative DNA, focused on production concentration, territorial diversification and strengthening the supply chain.
During the recently concluded shareholders’ meetings, the 2024/2025 financial statements were also approved, confirming the cooperative’s solidity and growth: production value of €404 million (€448 million consolidated), a +28% increase in payments to members, net equity up to €147 million with an operating profit of €840,000 (€2 million consolidated), and €11.3 million in investments in automation and digitalisation.
Agrintesa thus continues to build a modern and competitive cooperative, capable of enhancing the work of producers and ensuring sustainability, innovation and long-term prospects for the fruit and vegetable and wine sector in Emilia-Romagna.
