The harvest, already completed in the earliest plantations in Emilia-Romagna and underway in other regions, has yielded fruit of excellent quality, with a particularly high sugar content (°Brix) and ripening about two weeks earlier than Hayward, thus opening the Italian green kiwi season.

The 2025/26 season kicks off this week, the first week of November, with Dulcis™ available in major retail chains and wholesale markets.
Following last year’s excellent response in Italy, the goal for the new season is to expand its presence in Europe, with the first test supplies destined for Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain and Portugal. In terms of production, the variety confirms its resilience and adaptability to climate change, guaranteeing high yields and consistent quality even in environments characterised by hot summers and milder winters. Calabria, in particular, stands out as a new strategic area for development, becoming one of the main producing regions alongside Emilia-Romagna, Lazio and Veneto in just a few years.
Product quality and market response remain at the heart of the project: the 2025 harvest proved favourable from a climatic point of view, with an ideal balance between summer temperatures and water availability, conditions that have resulted in sweet, firm and aromatic fruit, much appreciated by consumers since the brand’s debut.
‘The success of Dulcis™ can also be measured in terms of its direct relationship with consumers, who already showed surprising enthusiasm for the fruit last year, recognised for its natural sweetness and balanced texture,’ says Mirco Montefiori, president of Dulcis Kiwifruit Company. “With the new marketing campaign, our goal is to strengthen this bond by offering a product that confirms the high standards of quality and recognisability that distinguish Dulcis™”.

Dulcis™ thus confirms its identity as a 100% Italian high-end product, born from the collaboration between Agrintesa-Alegra, Apofruit Italia and Orogel Fresco, and developed by New Plant in Forlì in collaboration with the Universities of Udine and Bologna.
With rapidly growing volumes and increasingly widespread distribution, the new season represents a further step towards consolidating the brand in the domestic market and entering the European market.

Source: Dulcis™ Press Office

ItaliaFruit News Editorial Office 4 November 2025

["post-5952","news","type-news","status-publish","hentry
["GET
