Traceability

For us in Agrintesa, quality means guarding the supply chain, implementing operating procedures that guarantee the healthiness of products and systems capable of monitoring the correctness of processes.
All our products are constantly monitored along path “from the field to the table” through the most innovative traceability systems, which allow us to identify each individual production batch in the countryside and monitor its subsequent steps up to the final customer.
We constantly implement a Quality-Environment System aimed at guaranteeing the healthiness, hygiene, safety and legality of our products.

To monitor and ensure quality, we carry out a total of more than 3,000 analyses (chemical-multi-residual; environmental, microbiological on food and water) each year, also making use of the collaboration with UNI EN ISO 17025 accredited bodies and laboratories.

In-house laboratories for quality control

In Agrintesa we have analytical laboratories equipped to carry out pre-harvest monitoring on various fruit and vegetable products. The main laboratory is located in Castel Bolognese plant, other control points are in Faenza and Latina.

Pre-harvest inspection performed on fruit and vegetables is essential to identify the ideal harvest time so that fruits and vegetables exhibit the right degree of ripeness and the best organoleptic characteristics to reach the final consumer in optimal condition.

For the wine division, the oenological analysis laboratory located in Faenza winery plays a key role in monitoring and quality assurance throughout the wine production process. With highly qualified staff and modern instrumentation, the laboratory is able to perform chemical and chemical-physical analyses on grapes, musts and wines to assess their quality, stability and regulatory compliance.

From the determination of the ripening curves of the grapes in the field to the controls on the wine and its storage, all stages of the production process are constantly monitored to ensure the achievement of oenological objectives and the full satisfaction of the customers served.

The laboratory performs checks on products from all production sites and is able to handle more than 300 samples per day, on which up to 50 different analytical determinations can be made. More than 1,000 samples are taken each year on grapes and more than 25,000 samples are taken on fermenting musts and wines, confirming Agrintesa’s ongoing commitment to protecting product quality and safety.
